Ian developed an interest in Physiotherapy after working with elite college athletes in the USA whilst completing his first degree in Human Biology. After coming home to Australia Ian went on to complete his Master of Physiotherapy in 2009.
Ian has since worked in a number of private physiotherapy practices with a strong emphasis on providing high quality management of client injuries and rehabilitation. Early exposure in his post graduate career to elite and professional athletes continued Ian’s interest in providing outcome focused treatment and rehabilitation, which he believes deserves to be extended to all clients no matter their level of activity.
Ian enjoys the challenge of working in busy client-focused clinical environments, and has a breadth of knowledge developed with a long tenure as a senior physiotherapist at a busy south coast practice with a very broad and diverse client population.
Most recently Ian has taken a year to travel throughout Europe and the UK whilst working as a physiotherapist in a number of public and private hospitals in London.
Ian is experienced in post-operative rehabilitation, manual therapy, sports injury management and postural/ergonomic dysfunctions. He has a particular interest in managing acute sports injuries to the lower limb, complex shoulder presentations and postural/ ergonomic complaints.
Ian strongly believes in a holistic approach to treatment and has a strong emphasis in helping to empower his clients to take ownership of their condition and be proactive in their own treatment.
In his spare time Ian also likes to go surfing, rock climbing, kayaking, and generally be activate and therefore has a personal appreciation of people wanting to get back to their best as quickly as possible.
