Area of Expertise: Back/Spine, Shoulder, Foot/Ankle, Tendons, Clinical Pilates

Location: Castlereagh Street Physiotherapy Clinic Sydney CBD

Ashley is a dedicated musculoskeletal physiotherapist with a strong interest in strength-based rehabilitation, spinal pain and helping individuals build long-term resilience. She is passionate about empowering her patients to move beyond pain and develop the confidence and capacity to return to the activities they enjoy.

Ashley completed a Bachelor of Human Sciences (Major in Human Movement) prior to undertaking her Doctor of Physiotherapy at Macquarie University. Her academic background provided a strong foundation in movement science, exercise prescription and evidence-based clinical practice.

Her desire to pursue physiotherapy was shaped while training for the 2019 Samoa Games with Fiji’s badminton team. During this time, she developed a keen interest in injury management and performance optimisation. While striving to improve as an athlete herself, she became increasingly fascinated by the role physiotherapy plays in supporting performance and recovery — ultimately leading her to pursue the profession.

Ashley enjoys the exposure to a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries and presentations. She values the diversity of cases she manages and the continual development of her clinical reasoning skills. She has a particular interest in back and neck pain, as well as gym-related injuries and return-to-running rehabilitation.

Ashley incorporates Clinical Pilates into her treatment approach to improve motor control, strength and movement quality. She combines targeted manual therapy techniques with structured, progressive exercise programs tailored to each individual. She believes rehabilitation should not only reduce pain but also improve long-term physical capacity and confidence.

With a background also working as a medical receptionist, support worker and sports trainer, Ashley brings a well-rounded and empathetic perspective to patient care. She is committed to ongoing professional development to ensure she delivers high-quality, contemporary musculoskeletal treatment.

Outside of the clinic, Ashley enjoys training and continually challenging herself physically, particularly in the gym. These values strongly influence her approach to physiotherapy and patient care.
