Sydney’s expert Physio team for over 15 years.

Dr Brad McIntosh

Managing Director BSc (ExSci) MPT (Physio) DPT (Physio) CSCS APAM MSMA
Area of Expertise: Knee
Location: Macquarie Street Physiotherapy Clinic Sydney CBD

Brad is one of those people who throws himself into things.

He had a vision to create a Physiotherapy practice elite in all aspects, including technology, rooms, support staff, customer service, research and communication.  Most importantly, the goal was to create an elite team of senior physiotherapists who were experts in a specific area of the body.  Sydney Sports & Orthopaedic Physiotherapy was opened in 2007 and hasn’t looked back. It has now evolved into Sydney Physiotherapy Solutions incorporating two state-of-the-art clinics in Sydney’s CBD, a fully-equipped and comprehensive clinical pilates studio, and 12 expert clinicians who provide the most up-to-date and evidence-based treatments and also pride themselves on going the ‘extra step’ for each of their clients.

On a personal level, Brad completed his Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate degrees in the USA while playing tennis at a competitive level.  He ‘fell’ into a focus on knee rehabilitation whilst working with a world-renowned knee physiotherapist and this continues to be the focus of his clinical and research interests.  He has published in peer-reviewed journals including the Clinical Journal of Sports Medicine and the Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport.

Brad also sits on the Board of Trustees of the Balnaves Foundation (www.balnavesfoundation.com) a Private Ancillary Fund that donates over $2.5million dollars annually to registered charities.  He is on the Expert Panel at Women’s Fitness and regularly contributes to the magazine.  He works closely with Blackmore’s as their official Physiotherapist for the Sydney Running Festival and now with Fairfax on the City to Surf.  The team is also involved in supporting CanToo.

When he can’t be found, he’s probably on the golf course or out running…
