Shanice is passionate about helping others and always knew she wanted to be a physiotherapist since the age of 14. She excelled in many sporting ventures growing up including dance, swimming, and competing at State and Regional representative level athletics. Her combined love for sport and the interest in the human body, naturally led her into becoming a physiotherapist. Since graduating from the Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy,
Shanice has worked primarily in private practice. A keen sportswoman herself, she has also worked with many sports and teams including soccer, netball and rugby, and is experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal and sporting injuries. In 2015 she volunteered in South Africa as a physiotherapist helping children with severe disabilities. Shanice has developed a particular interest Women’s Health, hip, pelvic and low back pain. She has completed additional training in Women’s Health and can help diagnose and treat a variety of associated issues including incontinence, painful intercourse, post-natal checks, prolapse, chronic constipation and more!
Shanice understands the importance of incorporating exercise into patient rehabilitation to expedite recovery, and has completed her Matwork and Equipment certification with the Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute.
In her spare time, Shanice loves to travel, trains in martial arts and spends time with family and friends.
