Lucia graduated from The University of Sydney with a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy. Since then, she has worked in multiple private practices in Sydney for several years, to develop her skills and clinical competencies, particularly in neuromusculoskeletal areas, involving spinal and peripheral regions of the body. Her growing passion and ambition to become a specialist physiotherapist led her to pursue her postgraduate degree. Lucia is an Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. She has completed her postgraduate degree in Masters of Clinical Physiotherapy with distinction average, majoring in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Curtin University in Western Australia. Her postgraduate degree has allowed her to further develop her clinical reasoning, as well as her diagnostic and treatment skills, to an advanced level. In addition, Lucia has been involved with further training, and has achieved certifications in dry needling, clinical pilates, spinal and orthopaedic manual therapy, as well as shoulder disorders and taping.
Lucia is a Physiotherapist who strongly values evidence based practice and contemporary clinical approaches when assessing and managing patients' pain and disability. Her interest areas involve treating complex and chronic pain, taking into consideration the physiological, psychosocial and environmental components to individual’s pain experiences. Furthermore, Lucia has been involved in a research project of her interest in Tendinopathy, to evaluate biomechanical analysis of lower limb movements.
In her spare time she likes to stay active and fit. She also loves travelling and spending quality time with family and friends.
