Kathryn Melvin recently moved from Ireland to Sydney to expand her career overseas. Kathryn graduated from University College Dublin with a first-class honour degree in Physiotherapy. Kathryn loves working with people of all ages and activity levels to help them achieve their personal goals. She has worked with a diverse caseload including sports injuries, orthopaedic surgeries, chronic-pain, paediatrics, geriatric, hands/plastics patients, and post cancer treatment rehabilitation. Kathryn’s approach to treating patient’s is evidence-based with patient centred goal setting in order to attain optimal results for her patient’s specific needs.

Kathryn is also an APPI (Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute) certified Pilates instructor and teaches patient specific/goal orientated rehabilitation classes within the clinic. These include antenatal and post-natal safe and effective exercise classes. These specialised classes are available for both private 1-on-1 sessions and small group classes. Kathryn is an advocate for the use of clinical Pilates for pain management, improving function, injury prevention and rehabilitation. Kathryn is also trained in Breast Cancer Rehabilitation post chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

Kathryn is a firm believer that exercise is medicine. She loves keeping active by running, swimming, cycling, yoga and Pilates. Kathryn is passionate about the power of exercise in keeping people both physically and mentally healthy. She uses exercise prescription to enhance movement, reduce pain, prevent/ rehab injury and ultimately get people back doing what they love.
