James Homfray
Area of Expertise: Back, hip, groin, men's health
James graduated from Macquarie University and began his career in orthopaedic settings, where he developed extensive expertise in trauma and joint replacement rehabilitation. He further honed his skills working with high-profile Rugby teams, including Warringah Rugby, Women's Tonga XV's, and the NSW Waratah's Academy, gaining valuable experience in sports injury management and athletic performance optimisation.
In addition to his clinical practice, James spent a decade working with behaviourally challenged men, utilising patient-centred approaches to support their reintegration into the community. This experience has informed his compassionate and holistic approach to physiotherapy, particularly in the field of men’s health, where he continues to expand his knowledge.
James recognises that effective rehabilitation requires a tailored approach. He skilfully integrates evidence-based manual therapy, taping, and dry needling techniques with individualised exercise prescriptions to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
An accomplished athlete, James has competed in athletics, swimming, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. His passion for fitness remains strong, and he is an avid gym enthusiast. Outside of his professional pursuits, he enjoys trail running in the Blue Mountains and relaxing with a coffee at his local cafe.
