Ian developed an interest in Physiotherapy after working with elite college athletes in the USA whilst completing his first degree in Human Biology. After coming home to Australia Ian went on to complete his Master of Physiotherapy in 2009.
Ian has since worked in a number of private physiotherapy practices and public hospitals in Australia and the UK, with a focus on providing a high standard of patient care.
Early exposure in his post graduate career to elite and professional athletes continued Ian’s interest in providing outcome focused treatment and rehabilitation, which he believes deserves to be extended to all clients. He has experience working with a diverse group of athletes and teams from a local to professional level.
Ian is experienced in post-operative rehabilitation, manual therapy, sports injury management and pain management. He has a particular interest in managing acute sports injuries to the lower limb, and knee pain. Ian enjoys keeping up with the latest developments in clinical evidence and applying this to his practice.
Ian strongly believes in a holistic approach to treatment and has a strong emphasis on encouraging his clients to take ownership of their condition and be proactive in their own treatment. This is achieved utilising a wide skill base including exercise rehabilitation, manual therapy, and pilates.
In his spare time Ian likes to surf, rock climb, travel, and generally be active and therefore has a personal appreciation of people wanting to get back to their best as quickly as possible.
