Seeking the advice of a professional physiotherapist through a personal one-to-one consultation is the best solution when trying to return to full fitness, a new report has suggested.
The world’s largest physiotherapy clinical research website, PEDro (Physiotherapy Evidence Database), has said that there are many misconceptions related to physiotherapy, with some having no impact on health or recovery time.
A team at the George Institute for Global Health in Sydney, Australia, studied more than 28,000 guidelines, trials and reviews and found that many solutions people commonly adopt don’t have the evidence to support them and could have no impact on repairing an injury or reducing pain.
